2016-2017

• Our college campus has about 2500 Eucalyptus trees which, besides raising its aesthetic value, provides adequate shade and helps maintain a green and eco-friendly environment. Tree plantation drives are regularly organized by the NSS units of our college in order to add more greenery to the campus as well as to raise student awareness on conserving environmental resources. A well maintained garden in the front area of our college aptly reflects our core values on environmental conservation.
• Adoption of modern means of educational technology through the use of ICT-enabled teaching and a dedicated smart classroom. These initiatives make lectures more comprehensive. Also such measures help us upgrade ourselves with the latest technology in education sector.
• Regular guidance and mentoring of students by Career Counselling Cell help the students remain updated on both the traditional and emerging fields of employment.
• Special winter Camps are arranged by NSS and NCC for imbibing a sense of discipline, leadership, secularism, adventure and selfless service in the minds of students.
• In addition to the usual classroom based pedagogy; students are encouraged to participate in various activities like N.S.S, N.C.C., sports and cultural events.

 

2017-2018

• Interdisciplinary seminar was arranged for our faculty members were in those brief periods when the class-load was low.
• Annual day was observed and annual report and AQAR 2016-17 was placed and discussed with all staff members of the college

 

2018-2019

• A prize distribution ceremony was arranged to award the best performing students in the fields of sports, cultural activities and academics. The event was conducted to encourage the students to perform better in various curricular and extra-curricular activities.
• A college magazine titled ‘Sukriti’ was published with articles contributed from our current and ex-faculty members and also from our current and past students.
• Some departments took initiative to publish wall magazine comprising of small articles, drawing etc. from their respective students and teachers.
• Several remarkable extension activities, like Blood donation camp, pulse polio programme were arranged through NSS.

 

2019-2020

• Career Counseling Cell has taken some major effort to launch value-added training courses and hands-on practices for the students.
• A separate health unit has been established for providing first aid to the student and staff. The unit also aims at organising variuos health camps and awareness camps at the college campus and sourroundings. A Thalassemia detection camp was organized by the NSS units and Health units of the college.
• Some departments organised Parent-Teacher meetings to discuss the progress and problems of the students and find solutions to academic or behavioral problems.
• Department of Santali celebrated Santali Bhasha Diwas to propagate the language among the local students which is the local language of the nearest area.
• National Science Day was observed by the Science departments of the college to grow up the interest in science among the school students of the nearest schools.
